Magic. I wish wish wish I could go there. We only have a tiny museuem, if I remember correctly it has stuffed animals that aren't real...I think someone invented them (very Crumple-Horned Snorkack like) & lots of furniture from the 50's.

You take such lovely photographs xx

Lovely lovely photos ^___^ your camera is something magical xD

I wonder...is it frightening to see these rows and rows of animals that once were and that look like they still are even though they never will be alive again? It always gave me the goosebumps >.<

Great photographs, they look like they're taken in a surreal world. I think all these dead animals are kind of scary but also strange and beautiful. :)

Ooh!
Our museum returned after years away last year. It was so nice to be reunited with the fearsome tiger I loved most as a child. I think he remembered me too. The stuffed budgerigars made me sad though, because of my Mr Marlowe. There was a new one, a giant tuna skeleton, it's terrifying D:

Gorgeous photos--I always find taxidermy fascinating.

Amazing taxidermy indeed.

I was wondering how you keep such a steady hand in all your photos. They are so crisp. I have really bad camera shake.

I love looking at stuffed animals, I don't know why...They're so quiet and they stare at you and you start to wonder how they lived their life before getting to the museum.
Our ((country)) club's clubhouse has lots of stuffed birds, I saw a huge owl...I could've stared there for hours...When I told me mother she was horrified. =/

These are really nice. There's nothing like taxidermy to create a bond between father and daughter!

Is this the museum in Tring? I had a 10 hour layover in Heathrow en route to Cape Town, and some friends decided to pick me up take me there. We then went into the fields and had marmite sandwiches, and finished the day of scavenging thrifts stores. Simply bucolic.

There was a sweet old man at the museum who asked the guard: 'Can i sketch your gorilla?' It gave us all a chuckle!
